A Distant Land

In 1957, nine-year-old Zidra Vincent and Jim Cadwallader formed a lasting friendship in the picturesque town of Jingera. Now, fourteen years later, Zidra, a dedicated reporter for the SYDNEY MORNING CHRONICLE, and Jim, a war correspondent in Cambodia, find their lives intertwined once more when Zidra stumbles upon a breaking story: the discovery of a Western journalist's body in Phnom Penh. As Zidra grapples with the implications of the news, her once bright world begins to unravel.
