Every day, sixteen-year-old Sol crosses the border from Tijuana to attend school in the United States, driven by her dream of higher education and a better future. As her family’s restaurant faces difficulties, she takes on a part-time job in San Diego, which leads her to navigate the challenges of balancing school, work, and separation from her loved ones. Throughout her journey, Sol grapples with feelings of loneliness, family pressure, and her evolving sense of identity.
