Where I'd Like to Be

Twelve-year-old Maddie, who believes a ghost once saved her life, struggles to feel special while navigating a series of foster homes. At the East Tennessee Children’s Home, she longs for a place and people she can truly call her own, pouring her hopes into a "book of houses." When a new girl named Murphy arrives, sharing fantastical stories and capturing Maddie’s imagination, their friendship prompts Maddie to reevaluate her ideas of home and family.
