Purgatory from The Divine Comedy

Purgatory, the second part of Dante's The Divine Comedy, follows the Poet and Virgil as they ascend the Mount of Purgatory, where souls undergo penance to cleanse their sins. The terraces are inhabited by those who are expiating various faults, such as pride, sloth, and lust, through symbolic acts of humility and fiery purification. This installment explores themes of penance and redemption in a vivid, allegorical setting.
