Too Early

In a rural village, two peasant sportsmen, Slyunka and Ryabov, attempt to retrieve a borrowed gun from the innkeeper, Semyon, but are met with refusals linked to the Lenten season and their lack of game. Undeterred, they head into the forest to hunt for snipe, only to find no game and decide to wait before trying again.
