Maybe It's a Sign

Seventh grader Freya June Sun, deeply influenced by Chinese superstitions and grieving her father’s recent death, begins to interpret signs that she believes are messages from beyond. As she partners with her classmate Gus Choi for a home-economics project, she discovers a new passion for baking, prompting her to consider making changes in her life. With the support of her family, Gus, and perhaps some magical birds, Freya learns that creating her own luck might be the key to finding her true path.
