Delores "Lawrence" Franklin, a former failed capitalist, moves to Mistaken Point to start anew and enrolls at Mistaken Point University alongside her best friend. As she befriends Franky, a serious and gritty local, Lawrence becomes involved in a summer quest to find a mysterious monster linked to a series of local murders, challenging her perceptions of truth and legend. Amidst teenage friendships and histrionic suspicions, the group uncovers deeper insights about womanhood, trust, and the stories we choose to believe.
