The Stray Pitch

In 1950, private investigator Wendy Winkworth, born into a family of thieves, is hired to investigate the murder of a star pitcher in the Star Spangled Girls Baseball League. Tasked with infiltrating the team, Wendy quickly discovers that behind the sport's glamour lie secrets of lust, jealousy, and deception, all while navigating her own lack of baseball expertise. As another body is found, she faces the growing danger of a killer whose next move could be against her.
