Edgar Allan Poe's tale of Hop-Frog follows a dwarf servant and his beautiful friend Trippetta, who are subjected to disrespect by a capricious king and his ministers. Beneath the king's jovial surface lies a darker, more violent nature, which sparks Hop-Frog's desire for revenge after he is mistreated. The story explores themes of vengeance and the sinister side of human nature within a dramatic, engaging narrative.
