High school senior Kai Manter, a confident and out gay musician, becomes intrigued by his darkly Gothic coworker, Jamie Arlotta, whose tough exterior masks a history of abuse. When Kai uncovers Jamie's painful past, he devises a musical intervention to offer support and understanding.
