The Double V

"The Double V" explores the long history of African Americans' fight for equality through their military service, highlighting how this struggle contributed to the broader civil rights movement. Narrated by Rawn James, Jr., the book traces a legacy from early protests and heroism in wartime to the eventual desegregation of the U.S. military with Executive Order 9981. It offers a comprehensive look at the powerful connection between military service and the ongoing quest for racial equality in America.
