Elodie Matthews, the new police chief in the small town of Hope, Alaska, finds her investigation into a chilling homicide intertwined with local legends of shape-shifters and wolves, including a recurring dream featuring a mysterious black wolf. As her first case takes unexpected turns—particularly when a corpse seemingly comes back to life—she faces uncertainty about who to trust, including a charismatic bounty hunter with deeper ties to the mystery.
