Provinces of Night

Set in 1952 Tennessee, this story follows E.F. Bloodworth's return home after two decades of wandering, to a family marked by anger, regret, and resentment. While his sons wrestle with their own issues—ranging from jealousy to substance abuse—only his grandson, Fleming, offers him genuine respect and understanding. The narrative explores themes of family, love, and the possibility of breaking free from a destructive legacy.
