The "Gloria Scott"

"The Gloria Scott" is the earliest Sherlock Holmes story, primarily narrated by Holmes himself, and focuses on his first application of deductive reasoning. The story involves Holmes confronting a past connection linked to an old crime, highlighting themes of memory and the impact of the past. Set partly in Holmes's university days, it also explores his interactions with friends and the consequences of old secrets resurfacing.
