Nine-year-old Allen Brewster develops an innovative idea for the science fair—human photosynthesis—and works diligently to bring his concept to life using the scientific method. His experiment results in him transforming into a human plant, exhibiting plant-like traits such as turning green, craving sunlight and water, and sprouting roots. However, his groundbreaking project soon attracts the attention of authorities, leading to its classification as a top-secret matter.
