Laughing Humans

Set on the distant planet Bicanthra III, this story follows Hunter Rogue, a resourceful and adventurous leader of a troupe of Laughing Humans—descendants of a crashed colonizing ship—who have been kept in a zoo by the planet's native inhabitants. As Hunter yearns for freedom, self-expression, and change, she teams up with Captain Angus McFarlan, a retiring military officer tasked with rescuing and guiding the Laughing Humans toward a new life. Together, they face the challenges of breaking free from confinement, embracing new ideas of speech, love, and equality, all while navigating cultural differences and their own evolving relationships.
