These Wartime Dreams

After her home is destroyed in the Exeter Blitz, Pearl's dreams of performing are temporarily dashed, but a chance encounter and new friendships rekindle her aspirations, leading her to sing for the troops. When her friend Ivy heads to London with an agent, Pearl chooses to stay, only to face further challenges when illness leaves her unable to speak. As Ivy reenters her life and begins to take her place in the band, Pearl must find new strength to pursue her dreams once more.
