Librarian Sebastian Rath and his lover Vesper Rune are on a mission to contain the dangerous Books of the Bound, but one has been freed and is in the grasp of a killer. As more murders occur, Sebastian faces the temptation to employ forbidden magic to stop the murderer and track down the book.
