Faolan is dispatched to Midgard, the land of humans, by the Norse gods to aid in their recovery amid a looming crisis as the universe's realms begin to stir from their slumber. She receives assistance from "The Chosen Ones," who were sent centuries earlier by Odin, but her journey is complicated by the coexistence of Werewolf Lore, divine commandments, and personal desires. As she faces mounting challenges, her efforts to protect Midgard involve rallying her army against powerful foes, shaping the outcome of the realm’s fate.
