The Playboy of the Western World & The Well of Saints

This collection features two of J M Synge’s acclaimed plays, "The Playboy of the Western World" and "The Well of the Saints," alongside an exploration of his life, work, and inspiration on the Aran Islands. "The Playboy of the Western World" explores themes of heroism and storytelling in Irish rural life, while "The Well of the Saints" offers a darkly comic reflection on perception and reality. Complemented by "Synge Song," a documentary highlighting his musical influence and connection to Irish culture, this edition provides a comprehensive look at one of Ireland's most influential dramatists.
