On Clemency is an unfinished two-volume essay by Roman philosopher Seneca the Younger, written around 55-56 CE to the emperor Nero early in his reign. The work, which survives in fragmentary form, offers insights into Stoic ideas on mercy and governance, and may serve as a subtle apology or reassurance to Nero and the Roman nobility.
