Girls on the Line

Set against the backdrop of World War I, this story follows Ruby Wagner, a young woman from a privileged Philadelphia family, who chooses to serve overseas as one of the pioneering "Hello Girls" in France after her brother's death. As she navigates her new role in the military and strives for respect, Ruby also develops a meaningful connection with an army medic, challenging her notions of duty, love, and the life she thought she wanted. The narrative explores themes of female solidarity, courage, and the unpredictable nature of choosing an unconventional path.
