The Sacrament

The Sacrament is a compelling tale that explores the impact of past events on the present, as a nun revisits her memories of investigating misconduct at a Catholic school in Iceland. As she confronts the mysteries surrounding a tragic death and her own formative experiences in Paris and Iceland, the story delves into themes of memory, trauma, and redemption. Olaf Olafsson’s beautiful and poignant writing offers a thought-provoking reflection on how our pasts shape us and the possibility of finding peace amid life's regrets.
