A Bloody Hot Summer

In the sweltering heat of 1927 Britain, the mysterious murder of Lady Fitzhugh on the morning after her 80th birthday party throws her family and staff into turmoil as prime suspects. Detective Dermot Carlyle, vacationing nearby, is called to investigate the gruesome crime, initially believed to stem from a robbery. However, as he delves deeper, he uncovers a web of secrets linked to significant events of the British Colonial Empire and faces a race against time to reveal the true killer amidst rising tensions and additional murders.
