Hadrian's Wall

The Romans, renowned for their impressive engineering and enduring structures, built significant landmarks across their empire, including the notable Hadrian's Wall, which stretched across the northern boundary of Britain. Their expansive empire also left behind iconic monuments such as the Forum, Pantheon, and various theaters and gates, reflecting their power and mastery of construction. Roman involvement in Britain began in 55 BCE with Julius Caesar’s expeditions, gradually establishing a foothold that eventually led to the founding of Londinium, the precursor to modern London.
