Ember Manchester tries to distance herself from her boss and ex-lover, Rylan, but finds it increasingly difficult as he continually seeks her help and gets involved in her personal life. Avoiding men since her complicated past with Rylan, she unexpectedly meets the quirky Stan, who provides a much-needed distraction. However, her life takes a dramatic turn when she's contacted by the military to spy on Rylan, suspecting him of ties to a dangerous hacker.
