A Burning Blade

In an alternate history set in 1121 AD, the fragmented Norse people of central Sweden face oppression from foreign lords following the downfall of their kingdoms. As hope dims in the long winter, the mythical sword Ljós a Norðan—a symbol of future and defiance—re-emerges in the hands of Gjaldir, a former slave turned warlord. Tasked with the heavy burden of fate, he must confront the pivotal question of whether he can become the leader his people believe he can be. As their last chance for freedom hangs in the balance, the ordinary citizens must rally to reclaim their right to a future.
