In the quaint village of Rudge-in-the-Vale, peace is shattered by a fierce rivalry between the irritable Colonel Wyvern and the miserly Squire Lester Carmody. Complications arise when the scheming Chimp Twist launches a health farm and teams up with Soapy and Dolly Molloy to orchestrate a fake burglary aimed at defrauding Lester’s insurance. Amid the chaos, Lester’s nephew, John, must navigate his feelings for Colonel Wyvern’s daughter, Pat, in hopes of restoring harmony to the village.
