The Ninth Templar Origins

The Knights Templar, officially known as The Poor Fellow Soldiers of Christ and the Temple of Solomon, is one of history's most enduring mystical organizations. Founded around 1118 by Sir Hugh de Payens and eight knights, they were originally tasked with protecting Christian pilgrims and were granted their encampment beneath the Temple of Solomon, in what is now the Dome of the Rock. Their origins are closely tied to the early history of Jerusalem, and they played a significant role during the medieval period, fueling ongoing intrigue and legend.
