Daughter of the Forest

Madsaw, war chief of the Tillamook tribe, kidnaps Twana, the step-daughter of a Nisqually shaman, and the two develop a forbidden romantic bond despite tribal enmity. Twana possesses a rare gift that allows her to mentally communicate with animals and perceive their presence, a skill that initially causes fear and rejection among her people. Her abilities become crucial when a dangerous grizzly bear threatens their village, highlighting her unique role within the tribe.
