Fields of Gold

Set in 1882 Northern California, this story follows developer Kellen O'Roarke as he seeks to acquire a valuable piece of land owned by the guarded and grieving Guinevere "Guin" Talbot, who is still mourning her parents' financial failures. With her formidable grandmother Henrietta, who has moved in as a chaperone, and Kellen's own complex motives, the characters navigate feelings of love, trust, and desire amidst personal and external conflicts. An additional charming subplot features a humorous romance between Guin’s grandmother and the town’s doctor. This engaging narrative explores the evolving relationships of battered individuals learning to trust and find hope.
