Following the surge of pirate enthusiasm sparked by a hit movie, the residents of Warner Pier embrace a playful pirate theme, with festivities and themed merchandise. When Lee McKinney Woodyard and her husband encounter a lively band of pirates during a boat trip on Lake Michigan, their summer takes an unexpected turn. However, the lighthearted pirate antics give way to a more serious mystery when a body is discovered on shore.
