Deep in a Louisiana lake, paleontologist Henrietta Ballantine uncovers an ancient, living mystery that threatens the local ecosystem. As the creatures grow rapidly and spread dangerous chaos, she must race against time and a looming hurricane to prevent a catastrophe.
