A Fool's Errand

In 1941, after the Battle of Britain, RAF Fighter Command shifts its focus to France as Flying Officer Angus Mackennelly and "Maverick" Squadron 696 engage in risky tactics against the Luftwaffe. However, after a new pilot's tragic loss and the mysterious death of a squadron officer ruled a suicide, Angus becomes convinced that a deeper menace lurks within their ranks. As he and his friend Flying Officer Tomas Jezek delve into the investigation, they must navigate fierce aerial battles while uncovering whether the real danger lies closer to home.
