Joan Davis, a talented movie star, is frustrated with her on-screen and off-screen interactions with dash Howard, Hollywood’s favorite leading man. After a prank leads to an unexpected legal marriage, Joan agrees to finish the film and relocate to Reno, where divorce is possible. As they share on-set experiences, competitions, and private moments, Joan begins to see a different side of Dash, challenging her perceptions and feelings about their marriage.
