Mercedes and the Chocolate Pilot

Set in 1948 West Berlin, this story follows Mercedes and her mother as they depend on American planes to bring essential supplies to their city. Amidst the everyday deliveries, the planes also offer small acts of kindness in the form of candy-filled parachutes dropped for children. Mercedes is eager to connect with the beloved "Chocolate Pilot" and wonders how she might receive his special gift.
