In "Ripley," John Hopper returns to his small town to find solace from his past, spending his time as an anonymous podcast host critiquing the world around him. When he discovers an impending comet impact that could lead to an extinction-level event, he prepares to survive alone, using his savings for supplies. However, his plans are disrupted by Yely, a problematic teenage girl who moves in next door, forcing John to reconsider his isolation as he faces unexpected challenges in what was thought to be the safest place on earth.
