A Case of Silver

In the mid-twelfth century, King Roger II of Sicily sought the expertise of renowned geographer Mohammed al-Idrisi to create an accurate world map, culminating in a magnificent silver atlas that was thought lost to history. Fast forward to the present, Iowa PI Bertrand McAbee is drawn into a complex investigation involving the brutal beating of a Tunisian doctoral student, which uncovers a web of murder, theft, and the secretive hoarding of cultural artifacts. As McAbee delves deeper, he realizes the case will take him to Sicily, where he, alongside a Benedictine abbot, faces significant dangers tied to this enigmatic puzzle.
