Father in the Forest

Set in a steampunk-flavored, middle-grade fantasy world, this story follows Yael, a girl who has experienced the hardships of war and foster care, as she searches for a girl with the same distinctive eyes in a time of growing conflict. Joined by four young boys who have also lost everything, Yael embarks on an adventure that explores themes of found family amidst a fragile peace and looming war. The narrative hints at a larger struggle involving much more than just the battles for territory, focusing on a greater power at stake.
