Strange Meeting

Returning to the Western Front after sick leave, young officer John Hilliard finds his battalion transformed by the hardships of war, with his commanding officer struggling with alcohol and his batman having been killed. Amidst these changes, he encounters David Barton, an innocent and charming soldier who, untainted by the horrors around him, embodies a contrasting perspective.
