Departed

In 1684, two children discover a dead man who suddenly comes back to life and forms an empathic bond with his surroundings. As the years pass, the revived man, Vincent, adapts to life with the Spijker family, but his inability to age or die becomes increasingly significant during a period of intense witch hunts in Connecticut. The story explores themes of life, connection, and the passage of time amidst historical tension.
