Designs for the Pluriverse

In Designs for the Pluriverse, Arturo Escobar explores a transformative approach to design that emphasizes justice, sustainability, and the interconnectedness of all beings. He advocates for an “autonomous design” rooted in collaborative, place-based practices that move away from capitalist-driven aims. Drawing on decolonial perspectives from Latin America, Escobar highlights how reimagined design efforts can contribute to creating more equitable and sustainable social futures.
