Jodie, a single mom new to Chicago, embraces life with her daughter and takes making the most of every moment as her motto. When she moves into the coach house of hockey player Nick Balachov, their initial distance gradually shifts as Nick finds himself drawn into Jodie's world, helping her through challenges and unexpectedly connecting with her little girl.
