Alexis Pauline Gumbs's M Archive is an experimental collection of poetic artifacts that imaginatively chronicles Black life after a global catastrophe, drawing from Black feminist theory and speculative fiction. Seen through the eyes of a future researcher, the book explores themes of capitalism, anti-Blackness, and environmental crises while contemplating new modes of existence beyond the human. It blurs the boundaries between art, science, spirit, scholarship, and politics, emphasizing the enduring possibilities of Black feminist thought in a post-apocalyptic context.
