In the picturesque autumn of Sonoma Coast, Claudia Simcoe hopes a gourmet harvest dinner will overshadow last summer's troubles. However, when a surveillance camera captures local lawyer Clark Gowan in a suspicious act, and then he turns up dead, Claudia becomes entwined in a web of intrigue. With her friend Julie implicated and the revelation of Gowan’s shady dealings emerging, Claudia is driven to uncover the truth, guided by the building's Prohibition-era history. As she juggles her responsibilities and navigates her complex relationships, she finds herself amidst a series of shocking events that challenge her investigative skills.
