The Call of Zulina

Set in 1787 West Africa, this story follows Grace Winslow, a young woman of mixed heritage who uncovers the harsh realities of her family's involvement in the slave trade. After escaping her family's compound, Grace becomes entangled in a slave revolt and begins to understand the brutality behind the business she was sheltered from. Throughout her experiences, she develops empathy for those fighting for their freedom and witnesses their courage firsthand.
