Death at the Workhouse

Set in London in 1885, this story follows reporter Penny Green as she uncovers troubling issues at Shoreditch Workhouse. Despite her efforts to bring attention to the plight of the poor there, she faces resistance, prompting her to investigate two inmate deaths alongside Inspector James Blakely. As their inquiries reveal darker secrets, the authorities are finally forced to respond, but the true perpetrator’s threat remains.
