During Christmas on Mackinac Island, fudge shop owner Allie McMurphy is preparing for the holiday while staying in her friend Frances's apartment due to ongoing renovations at her own shop. Her festive spirit takes a dark turn when she discovers a woman's body in a snowbank, who, with her last words, names Frances.
