In a war against the seemingly alien Yucks from Proxima Centauri, humanity faces a mysterious threat: biological ships and mines that appear to be alive, gradually choking off Terran planets. Desperate for a solution, scientists develop Mr. Spaceship, a conscious warship built with organic capabilities, in hopes of turning the tide. The story explores whether a sentient vessel can fulfill human command—and the unexpected surprises that may follow.
