The Rending

Brune, a 17-year-old fisherman living in an ethnic labor camp, discovers he has the ability to receive memories from inanimate objects. When his dangerous power surfaces after being touched by the Light, he is forced to escape from relentless pursuers, including the authorities and mysterious Shadows known as the Shaetán. As he navigates this perilous journey, Brune confronts the inner conflict of his evolving identity and the possibility that he may become the very threat he fears.
